Known as Hajju Maryam, Maryam Haruna Ibrahim, a Diploma holder in English/Hausa from School of Management, Kano, began her career in Kannywood as a hip-hop singer and was called Maryam Hip-hop. She got her break when she featured in Tijjani Gandu’s video “‘Yar Maye” and has gone on to feature in other Hausa movies like “Abbana,” and “A Kan Mace Me Na Yi Maka?”
